The work of violinmaker Philippe Devanneaux in his workshop in Cremona, Italy. This city is known throughout the world for the production of these musical instruments and has a long tradition of violin makers including Stradivari, Amati and Guarneri. The violin boasts 2500 years of history even though the instrument as we know it dates back to the Italian Renaissance around 1550.
